Sharp has just announced their release of three new AQUOS LCD HDTVs. Sharp is targeting the new LCD’s as a kitchen luxury or a bedroom TV, being that they only range in sizes of 16 to 20 inches. The new AQUOS E-series features a 1,366 x 768 resolution, a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, built-in analog and digital TV tuners, a pair of HDMI ports alongside a PC input, a S-Video jack, and two composite sockets.THe new TVs are suppose to officially launch next month.

LG has just announced their new LED-backlit 1080p LCD HDTV known as the 47LG90. The new TV is set to hit the store shelves in September with a price tag of $3,599. Featuring an advanced 120Hz panel, an LED backlighting system with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a 500cd/m2 brightness rating, 3 HDMI v1.3 inputs, Intelligent Sensor to automatically adjust to lighting conditions, Invisible Speakers, ISFccc calibration ready, USB port and LG’s SimpLink control technology.

LG is officially launching a BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player with Netflix streaming capabilities. The new player will be available in the US this September and will cost “well under $500″. The LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player will play high definition Blu-ray discs, up-convert standard DVDs to 1080p and allow Netflix subscribers to instantly stream more than 12,000 choices of movies and TV episodes from Netflix to the TV for no additional charge.

Samsung just announced their new lineup of 8 series LCD HDTV’s.The new series 8 HDTVs come in to new models. The Series 8 850 has rose accents and the Series 8 860 has deep blue accents. While both of the Series 8 have a 1080p Ultra Clear panel with up to a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, Auto Motion Plus 120Hz technology, InfoLink RSS reader, DLNA certification, 4-millisecond response time, and twin down-firing speakers with an integrated subwoofer.

Samsung just announced their new lineup of 7 series plasma HDTV’s. The new series is boasting its innovative cutting-edge design, as well as superior Full HD1080p picture with up to a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. To go along with the incredibly vibrant picture Samsung has implemented a day time to night time calibration feature into the TV so that you can have optimal viewing no matter what the setting is. Hold on though their not done yet. The new HDTVs will also come with InfoLink RSS access, a USB 2.0 port (WiseLink Pro), DLNA compatibility, four HDMI-CEC jacks and 1080p panels.

The DTVPal digital to analog converter box that was released last month is now available in retail stores. It was just announced that sears will be carrying this converter box. The DTVPal was one of our favorites so far, but was previously only carried through the DTVPal website. So its nice that it will now be sold at 511 full-line Sears stores through the nation and also at 194 Sears Dealer stores.

With the February 2009 Digital TV switch getting closer to becoming reality. TiVo is trying to make their users aware that if they are still receiving any of their television channels through rabbit ears or rooftop antenna that those channels will be unavailable come February 17, 2009.
So if you are a TiVo user and are still getting some channels through an analog signal you have two options.
- Follow TiVo’s steps to update you TiVo device here: tivo.com/digital2009. Then you will also need to get your self a digital converter box.
Or
- You can upgrade your TiVo to the TiVo HD and recieve a $40 discount for doing so.

Belkin just launched a new wireless HD reciever and transmitter called the FlyWire. The FlyWire wirelessly connects devices such as Blu-ray players, receivers, video-game consoles, and set-top boxes to HDTVs and projectors, transmitting high-definition 1080p True Cinema picture resolution with whole-home range.
Sounds great so far, but wait its wireless… Is that really going to work with all of the different wireless devices sending out signals all around us? Turns out it will. The FlyWire is operating in the open 5GHz band, and boasts that it intelligently manages its own connection, adjusting both frequency and power to avoid interferences.
